No, it’s not straight-up journalism as we might think of it. The Made-By-Hand series is an ongoing collection of short films exploring individual pursuits of small business ventures - there’s a nice interview with Keith Ehrlich, the filmmaker behind the idea, in this Atlantic piece. But the series is shot impeccably and the interviews are fairly interesting. Pay attention, too, to the way the interviews are mixed. Often it’s a series of B-roll or background shots with the straight interview playing in the background.
